, There is little likelihood of any further progress being made with the Woodlands Swamp Amalgamation scheme before February. Although all legislation necessary for the forming of the new district and the union of the existing drainage boards lias been passed, the Government intends giving objectors every opportunity of stating their case. To this end, officers of the Internal Affairs Department will meet the settlers early in Lhe new year
