The prosecutor said he under- ' stood that the next Shaw Savill ship due to arrive from New Zealand has 25 stowaways on board. One defendant told a remarkable story of unemployment. He declared that in Australia women and children were starving, and men were picked up helpless by the roadside. The Chairman of the Bench - warned him that work was as difficult to get In England as In the Dominions.
