ATTEMPT AT SUICIDE. AVIATOR’S EXCITING EXPERIENCE. KNOCK-OUT BLOW GIVEN. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. SYDNEY, November 2. A sensational attempt by a married woman to commit suicide was frustrated yesterday. The woman hired an aeroplane at Mascot aerodrome, Sydney, fei a short flight. The machine had reached an altitude of 1000 feet, when she attempted to jump out. The pilot struggled with her for a few seconds, and Anally decided that the only safe course was to hit her on the chin a knock-out blow. This he succeeded in doing. The pilot then descended and handed the woman over to the ambulance corps. She was taken to a reception house. She told the police she was separated from her husband, and wanted to commit suicide.
