EARTHQUAKE IN ITALY.

More than 100 persons who were injured in the earthquake in Eastern Italy have been brought to Ancona. There was terrible alarm among the peasantry of the district, who have not forgotten the earthquake which occurred 200 miles to the southward three months ago. At Senigaglia a church roof collapsed during early mass and killed the priest and eight of the congregation. The tower of the Church of the Holy Sacrament at Ancona also coD lapsed. Other historic buildings were seriously damaged. Fortunately most of the people were up at the tiiYie of the disaster. They rushed into the streets, and were able to escape from the falling houses. The first shock was violent. Then three other major shocks occurred within 20 minutes.
