CAUGHT IN THE ACT.
ILLICIT DISTILLERY. SYDNEY POLICE ‘RAID. AN ARREST EFFECTED. (Received Oct. 31, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 31. The police raided a house in the Suburb of Marrickville and discovered one of the finest illicit stills seized for many years. A quantity of molasses and raw spirit were seized. The house contained a great urn like a boiler, under which a furnace was blazing. A man was arrested and charged.
