LOCAL OBSERVATIONS. Miss Budd, of Balfoui*, M. Irvine and Webster, Ltd., supplies the following observations of the weather:— Thermometer. Max. Min. Thursday 66.00 40.00 Friday 70.00 52.00 Barometer. Thursday .... 30.35 Friday 30.05 Barometer 30.05, with a falling tendency. Indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather to-day, high northerly winds with higher temperature, rain following. Mean temperature, 61 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day are for northerly winds strong to gale and gradually backing by west to south. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable, with scattered showers. Expect colder temperatures. Barometer rising 'shortly. YESTERDAY’S WEATHER.
