AFTERNOON PARTY.
IN AID OF GUILD FUNDS. An afternoon organised by Mesdames Ewart, C. Lambeth and H. Toombs was held in the Scout Hall, Frankton, on Thursday, in aid of the First Church ( Guild. The hall was beautifully decorated with Iceland poppies. Songs were §ung by Mesdames Rowe and Mason and recitations rendered by Mrs Johnson . and Miss Luxton. Accompaniments were played by Miss R. ' Finlay and competitions which .were played during the afternoon .were won by Mesdames Ready and Rowe. Among those present were:—Mesdames Gudex, Gifford, Rowes, Foster, Earl, „ Lock, Pinfold, Ellis, Ready, Luxton (2), Rogers, Moore, Finlay, Tomlinson, Mercer, Cameron (2), Middlemiss, Page, Paterson, Kennedy, Forrester, Barriman, Johnson, Morgan, Meade, Ewart Brown, Paton, McLean, Dickson, Henry, Kay, Jones,-Stewart, A. Miller, Kidd, Runnerstraum, Edgecumbe, Valintine, Rowe, Petley, Morrow, Barlow, Dempster, de Montalk, Misses Wallace, Fraser, Finlay, Jackson, Haycock, Osmers, Luxton, Middlemiss.
