A message from Chicago states that Joe Aiello, one of Gangland’s royalty, absorbed 29 machine gun bullets as he stepped from the courtyard of his apartment. A search showed that several of his enemies lay In wait in a flat across the street and poured a volley Into him with coldblooded precision. In Aiello’s death “Bugs” Moran has lost one of his principal lieutenants.
