His Honour Mr Justice Smith is in Hamilton, presiding over the sittings of the Supreme Court. Mr R. McEiroy, associate of Mr Justice Smith, is iti Hamilton. Mr T. F. Jolly, of Hamilton,, sailed to-day from Auckland on a holiday trip to Australia. ’ Mr R. E. Champt.aloup, touring manager of the Auckland Automobile Association, is at the Hamilton Hotel. Major .Miles, the Divisional secretary of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, will visit Cambridge over the week-end. Mr L. M. Aitken, formerly ohief sub-editor of the Auckland Sun, has joined the sub-editorial staff of The Christchurch Press. Dr. Enrique Santamarina, VicePresident of the Provisional Government Of Argentina, has resigned that post on account of illness. Messrs Costello, E. Poole, H» Parsons, D. Brooker, C. E. Zohrab (Wellington), W. Clarke, and A. M. Henderson (Auckland) are at the Hamilton Hotel. Mr Walter Ross, for 28. years a representative of Messrs Storer, Meek and Co., Ltd., o'l' Wellington, has resigned to enter the service of Messrs B. J. Ball (N.Z.), Ltd., Auckland, in the capacity of manager of their Wellington branch warehouse. Mr- J. N. Coleman, who has been a member of the Wanganui Jockey Clilb for over -13 years, and during that period has missed attending one annual meeting only, has been elected a life member. Professor Hornell arrived at Cromwell last night on his mission to inspect the Kawarau dam and scheme, during which lime the gates will ne temporarily closed. Professor Hornell is due at Auckland on Tuesday to take his final departure.
