FAIRFIELD DRAINAGE DISTRICT. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the following Resolution passed at a Special Meeting of the Waikato County Council, convened for that purpose, and held on the 14th day of October, 1930, and intended to operate as a Special Order, will come up for conflrmatioh at the Ordinary Meeting'of the said County Council, to be held on TUESDAY, 11th day of November, 1930, in the Council Chamber, , Grey Street, Hamilton, at 10 a.m.,' namely:— That in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1920, and of all other powers thereunto enabling , it, and on the petition of a majority of the Ratepayers of the District hereinafter mentioned, the Waikato County Council resolves and declares by way of Special Order, as follows: The part of the County of Waikato described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a district for the purpose of the construction of Drainage Works therein. The name of the ■ said District shall be the Fairfield Drainage District. This Special Order shall take effect on the Ist day of December, 1930. SCHEDULE. The Fairfield . Drainage Area to comprise all that' area of the County of Waikato commencing at the Northeast corner of Allotment I. of Sections- 180-181 oh deposited plan 12311, Kirikiriroa Parish, Block XIV. rpHE LAND AND INCOME TAX i (ANNUAL) ACT, 1930. LAND TAX PAYABLE. By Order in Council, made and issued by His Excellency the GovernorGeneral in Council on the 6th. day of October,-1930, under the authority of the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of land tax leviable under the said Act should be paid in one sum on Friday, the 7th Day > of November, 1930, at the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Government Buildings, Wellington; and, in accordance with such Order in Council, I hereby give notice that the said duty will be payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before 28th November, 1930. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The lax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues: any overpayment will be adjusted by refund. The demands will be posted from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes on or about 3.lst October, 1930.
