There will be nine races at Moonee Valley on Saturday owing to there being two divisions in the two Jirvenile events. This is a record programme for the big Melbourne meeting. Following are the acceptors for the W. S. Cox Plate, weight-for-age, !)J furlongs:—Donald, Mollison, Phar Lap, Tregilla, Veilmond, and Fulham. The acceptors, for the Moonee Valley Cup, of £2OOO and gold cup valued at £2OO, i mile 3ifur. total 16, including—Cimbrian, 8.11; Taisho 8.7; Lineage, 8.5; Shadow King, 7.13; Nadean, 7.13; and The Doctor’s Orders, 7.6. Melbourne Cup scratchings are:— Demost., Prince Viol, and Santorb. Phar Lap strode nine furlongs on the grass, doing.the last six in 1.21 at Moonee Valley to-day. Glare is being spelled at Raisolu. Rational 11. is to be sent to Sydney on Saturday in charge of trainer F; J. Mutragh and will race. there, before returning to the Dominion. R. S. Bagby has arrived at Melbourne to ride at the Cup meeting. Maurice McCarten will ride. Ve.ilmond in the Derby. W. Cook will ride Veilmond in the Cox Plate and Melbourne 1 Cup. McCarten will ride Panola in the Cantala Stakes. .
