, ANNUAL MEETING. CAMBRIDGE SUB-ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of the Cambridge Lawn Tennis Sub-Associatbn Mr Frank Swayne presided, and the following delegates were P Q^ nt • , Cambridge, Messrs H- Morrison T Clayton, and J. Tne> grade was won by Fenoourt, and tne B grade by Trinity Club. The balance-sheet showed that tne year had commenced with a credit balance of £4 Is and concluded with a credit of £6 lOs-. Swayne, and R. ■ Morrison;secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Giles (re-clected) ; committee, the president and vice-presidents, and a delegale from each club,to be appointed, auditor, Mr F. Penn; delegates tp Waikato Association, Messrs FP Swayne and R. Morrison; selectors,Messrs C. W. Hooker, J. Giles, and F. Swayne. ~ , , It was decided to play the A and ‘B grade competitions on the \ankee system. \ Association Ladder. ™ Mr F. Swayne said that for th® benefit of the selectors an association' ladder should be instituted. He suggested that the selectors should place about 25 ladies and 25 men on the ladder to start with, and players from, the affiliated clubs would then have, the right to challenge for the various positions. ,vp It was resolved to adopt Mr Swayne’s suggestion. ' .. It was decided to recommend to the selection committee that they majjj provision for a junior ladder. Starting of Competitions. It was decided to start the competitions on November 1, provided it did not clash with the golf club’s . closing function. This being the case, a town and country matcli is to be arranged. It was decided to hold the usual tournament at Easter. > A hearty vote of thanks to the outgoing president (Mr A, R- Cox) and the secretary (Mr J. Giles) was carried by acclamation.
