REFUSE COLLECTION.
CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT. MUST RETURN TO BACK DOOR. Objection has been raised to the practice of placing refuse tins on the footways where they are allowed to -stand for lengthy periods Waiting attention from the refuse collector. The Hamilton Borough Council, in an advertisement in this issue, draws the attention of occupiers to the condition contained in the agreement made with the contractor requiring him to pick up refuse at or near back do'ors and to replace the tins there. Occupiers are warned that refuse tins must not be placed in any portion of the street or footway, and it i-s understood that proceedings will be taken where, the warning is disregarded.
