RADIO BROADCASTING.
ACTIVITIES IN HAMILTON. PROGRESSIVE PRIVATE STATION. . The private broadcasting station 12H, owned by Mr G. S. Anchor, of Radio House, has been transmitting for some months in Hamilton. The mid-day musical session of selected gramophone recordings is very much appreciated hy a wide circle of listeners, and reports of good reception from Whangarei, New Plymouth and Thames show that the station is “getting out” well. As soon as arrangements have been made for a studio, Mr Anchor will begin a Wednesday evening session.
The transmissions at present are:— Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 12 to 1 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays,' 12.30 to 2 p.m. The Thursday session is a special request session. Mr F. V. Stephens, 8.A., B. Com., district tutor of the Workers’ Educational Association, will give a series of interesting lecturettes on world affairs from 12H, commencing on Wednesday, at 12.30 p.m.
