VIOLENT PRISONER.

His Honour then read odt a long list of previous convictions against prisoner, in which it was shown he had been imprisoned for theft, horse stealing, assault causing actual bodily harm, carnal knowledge, attempted carnal knowiedge and attempted rape. On being escorted from the Court after sentence, prisoner threw his hat on the ground in temper, and then broke away from his escort. He was tripped up, however, but it took the combined efforts of several warders and p_olicemen to handcuff him. Prisoner called out wildly that did not care if he was hanged..
