LONDON, June 15. Scott has issued a challenge to Schmeling.
It is expected that the fight will be staged in England. * Scott, however, must defeat Stribling on July 28. Thereafter, the British Control Board can insist on him as a genuine contender. No doubt the board will see that he gets a fair deal. HAMILTON ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING TO-NIGHT. The annual meeting of the Hamilton Boxing Association will be held this evening at the Toorak Chambers at 8 o’clock. It is hoped there will be a good muster of members and enthusiasts as several matters of importance to the sport will be discussed. The prevailing complaint at this time of the year seems to be iniluenza. On every side people, young and old, are being laid low with this vitalitysapping illness, and much time is lost by those in business.
