ASHBURTON CLUB. THE WINTER MEETING. ASHBURTON, Saturday. The winter meeting of the Ashburton Trotting Club was held to-day in fine weather before a large attendance. The track was in good order. FAREWELL HANDICAP, Of £175; limit 2.19; 1 mile. 2 COUNTRY KING, 12yds 1 9 KINNEY DILLON, limit 2 7 BROOK POINTER, 12yds 3 Also started: Happy Land, Harley Dillon, Tahoe, Tannhauser, Yoicks Kauto-ma, Wild Spur, limit; Erin’s Lynn, Harold Lee, Mac Dillon, Young Bingen, Tumatakuru, 12yds.
