CAR WRECKED
CRASHED INTO POLE. DRIVER’S LUCKY ESCAPE. A five-seater car was completely wrecked when it crashed into a telegraph ( pole near the Te Rapa School about 5.30 on Saturday evening. The driver of the car, who resides in Auckland and whose identity is not known, escaped with a cut on the head and' a black eye. The car, w-hich careered along the grass on the side of the road before striking the pole, came' to rest with the back wheels over a fence. The force of the impact was such tjia.t the front wheels of the'car were pushed back under Lhe engine.
