WINTER SHOW.
THE TIGER SHARK. A monster tiger shark, 14 feet long, and weighing 9561b,' will be one of the outstanding attractions at the Waikato Winter Show. These monsters are not known in New Zealand waters, but they terrorise Australia’s beaches. This shark was caught at Coogee Bay, New South Wales, where latterly the council erected a shark-proof steel net to prevent tragedies to the surf-bathers. The specimen at the show will be seen as taken from the water, as it has gone through a wonderful process of preservation.
