DESTRUCTIVE FIRES.
NO FURNITURE SAVED. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. A twelve-roomed house near Selwyn River, one of the best known homesteads in the Ellesmere district, owned by Mr F. C. Waring, was destroyed by fire this morning. No furniture was saved.
