GOOD MORNING CLUB.

MEMBERSHIP RAPIDLY GROWING. The president of the “Good Morning Club” (Mr Albert E. Russell, of Wellington), advises that the club has passed the 3000 mark, and that members have enrolled from Dargaville in the north to Invercargill in the south. Mr Russell states that hundreds of letters have been received—happy, gay, grave and pathetic; also many suggestions for improvements and requests for a badge so that members will recognise each other. “I would like to point out,” said Mr Russell, “that membership is positively free and no one must receive any profit from the club, excepting happiness, health and optimism which is passed on to others jojyously and free of charge. The issue of a badge would mean buying, selling, and profit, which must be taboo. This is purely a community effort. Branches have ‘been started in Auckland, Waimate, Cheviot, and Gore. Christchurch is having a Cheer-up Week, and my home telephone has been kept ringing day and night by cheery ‘Good-morninrgers.’ Our record day was 320 members, and when we. reach 500 daily more happiness must follow. The Good Morning Club’s foundation is solid, and with the right material at hand—the people themselves —a splendid building must result. We want 10,000 members by the end of May. Our address is P.O. Box 1668, and a stamped addressed envelope will bring a memberhip card. Be happy and make New Zealand happier.”
