WORLD PEACE.

The possibilities of world peace, as an accomplished fact may'seem doubtful to the majority of us. Yet forces unheralded and unadvertised are working in their silent and none-the-less-effective way towards the complete elimination of war. The most striking of all perhaps is the combining of religions in the matter. A world conference for international peace through religion was recently held at which Bahais, Buddhists, Christians, Confucians, Hindus, Jews, Moslems and Shintos sat side by side to discuss world peace. Could a more astoundingly vivid example of the potent spirit of concord that is at large in the world to-day be given? Christian and Moslem, Buddhist and Confucian, sitting together in the interests of peace, the two former warlike religions conferring with the two latter religions of peace, actuated by the common desire to better the lot of man and to raise him from the bestiality and degradation of war. It is impossible to corlceive of a more emphatic example of the revolution in world thought that is taking place.
