VAN CAPSIZES.
DRIVER THROWN INTO CREEK. NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED. A delivery van driven by Mr Ron. Griffiths, aged 23 years, employed by Sterling Stores, Ltd., Horotiu, capsized in River Road, Horotiu, at 11 o’clock this morning. Mr Griffiths was delivering goods to customers along River Road when the back wheel of the van went over a four-foot bank. The vehicle capsized and rolled over three or four times, coming to rest on its wheels on the opposite side of a little creek. The driver and the goods were thrown into the creek. Mr Griffiths was conveyed to the Waikato Hospital, where he is suffering from bruises and abrasions. The extent of his injuries is not known, though his condition is not considered serious.
