At the wool sales, 10,313 bales were Offered including 2,720 from New Zealand. Approximately 5,000 bales were sold. There was a moderate offering of merinos and a good supply of New Zealand crossbreds. There was. a brisk tone and good competition, prices being maintained. New Zealand greasy crossbred, “ Omapere,” top price, 13d, average 12d; half-bred “ Ugbrooke,” 13£d and 13^d. At Bradford the continued stoppage is causing uneasiness and a slightly depressed tone. WELLINGTON, Monday. The Department of Agriculture has received the following advice from the High Commissioner, London, dated May 17:— ° The wool sales continue with a brisk demand.
