ASSAULT AT WANGANUI
ALTERCATION AT PIE-CART. JOCKEY SENT TO GAOL. (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Tuesday. Patrick McGuire, jockey, was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment for assault this morning. The evidence showed that McGuire and a woman were drunk at a piecart, when an altercation took place and he struck a man named Campbell on the mouth and threatened Constable Nairn with a. sauce bottle.
