REFORM PARTY.
WAIKATO ELECTORATE. A meeting of the Waikato executive was held yesterday at Morrinsville, at which Mr J. M. ■ Allen presided. Representatives from all parts of the electorate were present. The reports from each part of the electorate were very encouraging as to the prospects for the Reform Party. The chairman stated that the nomination of Mr Stewart Reid as the Reform candidate was supported from all parts of the electorate, and they were indeed fortunate in having a gentleman of such sterling worth, a practical farmer, and a man esteembv all sections of the community, as Mr Stewart Reid, to contest the Waikato seat as the Reform candidate at the next election.
Mr Stewart Reid, who was present by invitation, recei'ved a very flattering reception when he rose to speakHe stated that he counted it an honour to be selected as the Reform candidate, and he 'would do all in his power, with the aid of the supporters of the party in the electorate, to regain the Waikato seat for the Reform Party at the next election. The organiser, Mr D. Hebenton, addressed the gathering on organisation, and arrangements were made for intensive organisation throughout the electorate.
