A GRAVE MENACE.
FAILED TO REMOVE RAGWORT. FINES AT TE AWAMUTU. Fines ranging up to £5 and costs were imposed at Te Awamutu yesterday hy Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M-, upon a number of settlers of the Te Awamutu district for failing to take adequate steps to clear their properties of ragwort. The magistrate said ragwort constituted a grave menace to settlers on neighbouring lands.
