SPIRIT OF BITTERNESS.
WHAT DEPRESSION BRINGS“In times of depression something worse happens to the community than loss of money and the hardship .which it entails,” said the Chief Railway Commissioner (Mr -Cleary; at the concert given by the Railway -Eisteddfod in,the Chatswood School of Arts, says a Sydney paper. V “It is lack of agreement about the way in which the hardships shall be shared. There grows up a spirit of bitterness and recrimination, and it seems that the community must be almost beaten to its knees before it realises just what is the truth, if the truth does ever emerge.”''
