MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Au© tioneering Co., Ltd., report:—At Morrinsville sale on Friday we penned a full yarding of cattle and a medium yarding of sheep. The yarding of cattle included some nice lines of Polled Angus cows, steers and calves; competition was good, and with the exception of the steers the whole yarding was sold. Late rates were maintained on beef and mutton. There was a full yarding of baconers, porkers and weaners; competition was keen, the whole yarding of 475 pigs changing hands at late rates. A choice line of 72 heavy baconers on account of Messrs Grayden Brothers averaged £3 8s 6d, and a line of 105 medium and heavy baconers on account of Mr R. J. Mears averaged £3 6s. Quotations: Fat ewes, 12s Id to 17s; fat lambs, 16s to 17s; store lambs, 10s to 12s 6d; fat bullocks. £l2 18s to £l3 10s; fat cows, heavy £8 os to £9 12s, medium £7 5s to £B, light £5 9s to £6 15s; forward conditioned cows, £4 15s to £5 ss; cow* and calves, £10; Polled Angus cows, running with Polled Angus bulls, £6 8s to £7 12s; Red Polled and Hereford cows, running with Polled Angus bulls, £5 15s; Polled Angus oalves, steers £3 4s to £4 10s; heifers £3 to £3 16s; Jersey heifer calves. £2 17s to S 4 19s; others, £1 5s to £2 ss; steer calves, £2 2s to £2 14s.
