An armed expedition is being orgaik* ised at Archangel to round up pirates in the Solovetsky Islands, in the White Sea, when the ice conditions permit. The occpupants of the penal colony were left to proride for themselves after a revolution, and apparently seized Russian, Finnish and Norwegian fishing vessels, which then mysterfe* ously disappeared. A Finnish steamer reported that sh 4 repulsed a pirates’ attack. It is estimated that there are 300 pirates, composed of former and convicts. The number of captured sailors iSj placed at 200. ' •
