On , Saturday' afternoon, about four o'clock, a loaded motor-lorry, owned by Messrs. Julian and Co., of Hikutaia, which was on its way from Raurimu (where a large contract has been' completed) overturned twice when rounding a corner on the WaihouStanley Roads, near Te Aroha. R. Spinks (the driver), G. McCauley and George Green (foreman of works) were taken immediately to Norana Hospital. An hour later Spinks and 'McCauley, who had suffered only' from shock, were able to proceed to Paeroa, but Green, who sustained severe head injuries, is still an inmate of the institution. The lorry, especially the body portion, was considerably damaged. The occurrence was purely accidental, being caused by the wheels becoming partially locked by the abrupt turn at the corner.
