DISTINGUISHED NURSE.
MATANGI GIRL’S SUCCESS. KEITH PAYNE MEMORIAL MEDAL. The many friends of Miss Iris Martin will be pleased to read of further, honours secured by her in 'connection with the nursing profession. It will
be remembered that Miss Martin was one of the nurses who topped New Zealand in the State examination last June. At Wellington last Sunday at the National Hospital Day celebrations Miss Martin was presented with the Frances Keith Payne memorial medal. This medal is awarded to the most outstanding nurse of the year attached to the Wellington Hospital. The presentation was made by Miss Bicknell, Director of Nursing. Miss Martin also received a lovely bouquet from her girl friends. Prior to taking up the nursing profession Miss Martin, who is a daughter of Mr and Mrs Lee Martin, of Hamilton, was attached to the staff of the Matangi Glaxo factory.
