WESTRALIAN ELECTIONS
DEFEAT OF LABOUR. COUNTRY LEADER UNSEATED. STATE OF PARTIES. United Press Assn.—ktt Tel.— -copyright. PERTH, April 14. The Labour Party has been defeated in Western Australia. The latest counting gives the combined anti-Labour forces at least 26 seals. The state of the parties is as follows: — Labour 22. Nationalist 17. Country Party 9. Independent Country Party 1. . Doubtful 1. Mr Thomson, leader of the Country Party lias lost the Katanning seat. The Collier administration had been in power for six years. This is the fourth Australian government to he turned out of office since the Bruce-Page. Federal Government failed on the Arbitration issue less than six months ago. The Victorian and South Australian Treasury benches were lost to Labour.
