The Daily Mail states: “ Developing out of the robot flying devices there is secretly evolving a new war horror consisting of a giant aeroplane functioning without a crew. Its engine and course are controlled by a clockwork brain. The bull is a mere receptacle for bombs. The machine will resemble an enormous hying torpedo. The mechanical brain is located in an armoured container in the middle of the hull, in which gyroscopes establish electrical contacts immediately the machine inclines to deviate from its course. Clockwork set beforehand ■slops the engine after a predetermined distance has been covered and causes llie bomb-iado nplane to crash down in the city marked ouL for destruction.”
