Our offering comprised principally summers, springs, racks, etc., and it was pleasing to note that the market showed a much improved tone, prices generally being well up to the rates ruling at the last southern sales. At the recent London sales the market showed a _good advance, prices being better by 5 per cent to 20’ per cent, on the-January sales’ quotations, and this improvement was reflected at our sale. Large stocks are still held in London, and until these are disposed of we caimot look for any substantial appreciation in prices for some considerable time.
