MOTOR SPEEDING.

PROSECUTIONS AT TE AROHA. Before Messrs W. T. Hughes and J. R. A'icol, J’s.P., at the S.M. Court at Te Aroha, a number of motorists were charged with speeding, the charges being brought by the Piako County Council. According to the evidence the speeds ranged from 40 to 45 miles per hour. The following fines were imposed: W. Bennett £2, 0. Cockroft £3, W. L. Dixon £4, J. H. Barker £2, H. Matthews £4, W. McAra £4, G. McLachlan £2, C. W. Morey £4, E. Pilling £3, M. Souter £4, S. Robinson £4, and B. L. Du Fresne £2. The costs in each case were 31s.
