KIRK-WINDEYER CUP. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. The New Zealand golf learn to play against Victoria in the ICirk-Windeyer Cup matches on Monday and Tuesday will assemble in Christchurch tomorrow. All the visitors spent to-day on the links at practice. The Victorians showed rather better form Ilian the Sydney men, doing rounds in low seventies. All had experience of the difficulties of controlling the ball in a high wind on a dry, hard course. The best golf played at Shirley during the past few days has been that of E. M. OVlacfariane. He has done at least one score under 70, and to-day in the strong wind he completed a round in 70, the best card of (lie day and a remarkable score under the conditions. To-morrow the Christchurch Club has arranged a match, “ The Australasian Handicap,” in which il is hoped .ail the visitors will he competitor*. .
