SACK FROM THE SOUTH POLE.—Admiral Byrd on Wednesday presented to the Hon. G. W. Forbes (representing the Government) the New Zealand flag which he carried with him across the South Pole.
DUILT FOR SPEED. —A Tiger Moth aeroplane reputed to be the fastest flying machine in the Southern Hemisphere. This machine when flown in England attained a speed of 170 miles an hour.
