HOUSEHOLD NOTES.
Mien’s Shirt Cuffs. —To make men’s shirt cuffs wear longer make two extra buttonholes in each cuff so that it is not always doubled in the same place. To prevent frayed cuffs or to increase their wear when they are becoming rubbed, transfer the cuff from one arm lo the other. Thus the part on the inner side, which always wears first., is transferred to the outer part, of the other arm and so escapes the rubbing. For a House Frock. —A discarded old-fashioned blouse and skirt may bo made into a useful morning house frock by cutting off Ihe lop of the skirt and joining it to the blouse. The piece cut off will make a front, collar and cuffs or a belt.
