EXPORTATION OF MEAT.

BIG INCREASE SHOWN. Exportations of meat from New Zealand during the season up to March 15 show a general increase over the exports during the corresponding months of 1928-19.29, according to'figures given in a report issued by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. / The total numbers of quarters of beef exported from Dominion ports between October 1, 1929, and March 15, 1930, was 50,421, against 39,008 in the corresponding months of the previous season. The carcases of mutton totalled 803,232 this year, compared with 037/270, and the carcases of lamb, 2,542,130, compared with 2,32G,069. The exports of boneless beef in bags totalled 38,508 bags, the figures for 1928-1929 being 33,697. r phe only decrease was that shown in pork, the number' of carcases shipped abroad falling from 74,497 in 1928-1929 to G 0,699 in the present season.
