A meeting of textile workers of Yorkshire on Saturday has strengthened the belief of'the trades union executives that they will cease work when tlie cuts in wages take effect on April 12. Representatives of the general council of Trades Union Congress are visiting .Bradford. They hope the Ministry of Labour will intervene 'to avert a prolonged stoppage. At present, however, there are no indications of either side giving way. • Prayers for a wise and just settlement were offered in all the Anglican and Free Churches in Yorkshire yesterday.
