Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., report on the London market:— Butter. —The .butler market closed steady. “Anchor,” 1325; other, finest 130s;' Danish, 14os spot, 140 s f.0.b.; retails generally, Danish is 6d, New Zealand Is sd; some ' selling Empire ■butter at Is 4d, occasionally cheaper grades at Is 3d. Cheese. —Prices now are: White, 795; coloured, 80s after heavy selling in some quarters, is less. Retails mostly unchanged; occasionally New Zealand, lOd. Messrs Dalgely and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house — Butter, —The market is steadier. New Zealand, finest salted, 120 sto i3os; Danish butter, 148 s to 150 s; Australian, finest unsalted. 130 sto 1325, finest salted 124 sto 128 s, g.a.q. 120 s to 1225. The top price for butter is exceptional. Cheese. —The market is slow. New Zealand white, 78s to 795, coloured 80s to Sis; Canadian, white 94s to 98s. coloured 94* 9Ss.
