SIN€LES COMPETITION. JACOB HENRY WRIGHT CUPTHE SEMI-FINALS BEACHED. ' On Saturday afternoon {day was conducted on the Hamilton East and Frankton greens in the Jacob Henry Wright Cup competition (singles). Players belonging to howling clubs located in Hamilton are eligible for this competition. There was some very interesting play in the various rounds. The semi-finalists will meet next Sami' day on the Whitiora green to decide the cup for the season. All play is on the one life system. WAIHI DEFEATS TE AROHA. TE AROHA, Saturday. Although Te Aroha scored four wins in a five-rink match against the Waihi Club to-day, Waihi won on the aggregate, mainly through the superior bowling of Mr McG on agio's four, who easily defeated Wallace’s rink by 31 to 12.
