The South Auckland Pipe Band will render a programme of music at the Hamilton Lake, on Sunday afternoon.

Dr. J. S. Elliott, the President for New Zealand of the Cancer Campaign, said, ‘Without the valuable assistance of the Press, this important movement as, Indeed, all other activities for the good of humanity—would have a very diminished hope of success. The help of the Press has been the direct cause of the Campaign receiving veryhandsome donations. It would be difficult to exaggerate the enormous power of the press for good in this and other directions for the enlightenment and benefit of the people, especially in regard to movements connected with Uie public health.’ ”
