SMITH CUP MATCH. MONOVALE v. MAUNGATAUTARI. The second challenge match for the Smith Cup, between Monovale and Maungatautari Clubs’ representatives, took place on Saturday on the .Monovale courts. Monovale having previously won, were again successful on Saturday, and won the trophy very comfortably by 17 sets, 116 games, to 4 sets, 65 games. The afternoons play was most enjoyable and the visitors appreciated the hospitality of the Monovale Club. A great tussle ensued to the last set, when Ngahinapouir won by 13 sets to 11 sets, although: Ohaupo scored more games than the ■winners.
