MRS J. H. HODGE. OLD RESIDENT OF THAMES. ('Bfl - Telegraph.—-Press Association.) THAMES, -Monday. The death has occurred of -Airs J. H. Hodge, aged 76, one of the oldest- residents of Thames. She arrived in New Zealand'in 1864. MR. W. H. COTTINGHAM. Cabled intimation has been received of the death of one of England’s foremost business and financial leaders, Mr. 44'aller 11. Col ting-ham, of 4Yoolley Hall, Maidenhead, Surrey, England. The late Air. Cottingham was chairman of directors of Lewis Berger and Sons, world-wide manufacturers of paints, varnishes and allied products.
