CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALE PRSCES 'DISAPPOINTING. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The fourth and final wool sale of the season at Christchurch was held to-day. The catalogue comprised 8933 bales. There was a full bench of buyers, ail the purchasing points being represented. The catalogue was of the usual end of season character, and comprised for the most part back country wool, dull, with very little bright wool through it. The sale was somewhat disappointing. The Department of Agriculture lias received the following cablegram dated March 10 from the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London: 'Tallow. —Moderate demand at auction this week at prices Is to Is 6d below previous sale rates. A total of G 27 packages offered • and 332 sold. Present quotations per cwt. are:— Mutton: Fine, 40s; fair to good, 36s to 38s; dark to dull, 33s to 345. Prices were on a par with last sale and everything changed hands.
