Extremists In many centres In India are following Gandhi’s lead and are organising a campaign of civil disobedience. An important Sikh social organisation in Pun* Jab has placed 5000 volunteers af Gandhi’s disposal. Gandhi has decided to leave the settlement near Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Accompanied by 100 volunteers, and male disciples he hopes to reach Jalal-pore on the coast of Surat, In the Bombay presidency, in three weeks. Five hundred British troops stationed at Thow have been ordered to stand by to proceed to Ah me- > dabad If required. Native papers publish a report that Gandhi will be arrested before Wednesday and deported.
