ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
MAN’S LEG BROKEN. AUCKLAND, Monday. As the result of being knocked down by a motor-car, Mr Alfred Eldershaw, married, aged 46, was admitted to the hospital suffering from a broken leg. WOMAN FOUND DEAD. AUCKLAND, Monday. The body of Mrs Maria Gallagher, wife of Mr Joseph Gallagher, of Parnell, was found yesterday morning. A verdict that death was due to gaspoisoning was returned at the inquest. OAR RUNS INTO HOUSE. TWO PASSENGERS INJURED. AUCKLAND, Monday. Six occupants of a motor-car had a narrow escape from serious injury when their vehicle ran over two small banks and crashed into a house at Kingsiand last night. The vehicle did not overturn. Severe injuries were received by a young woman, who also suffered from shock, while another occupant received a small cut on one leg. The driver, Mr 11. Jackson, and the other passengers escaped uninjured. ACCIDENT ON TRACK. MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED. WELLINGTON Sunday. While competing in a dirt track motor-cycle race at (he Kilbirnie Stadium last evening, J. Hollis, an Australian rider, fell, and the eye'e ridden by R. Blake, also of Australia, appeared lo strike him. Hollis was taken to the hospital with a very severe lacerated wound on the left arm. He was also suffering from concussion and shock-
