Overcast weather and a brisk wind i prevailed for the second day’s play in 1 Me Waikato Secondary Schools’ annual loiirnamenl, which was continued on Saturday on the Hamilton Club’s courls. Semi-final stages have been reached in most of the competitions, while the junior boys’ singles have been completed. Some particularly good games were seen in the morning’s play, and the scoring was vci'v even. The del cision was to go to the first player to | secure nine games, and both hoys had eight games each to their credit when the final stages was entered. Page opened with some nicely placed balls which caught Lusk unawares, but he strove valiantly to gain points in his returns.
